Seascape paintings by Artist David Miller

Seascape artist David Miller grew up in Napa Valley, California where his talent was realized at an early age. He soon began exhibiting his work in prestigious galleries worldwide including
the United States, Japan, Australia, and Europe. He now lives in Florida and is a part time resident of Hawaii. Public and private collectors of his work number in the thousands and encompass countries around the globe. While Miller is best known for his marine life subject matter, his oeuvre further incorporates acclaimed island seascapes and lush tropical landscapes. Such innovative versatility only enhances his prestigious position in the environmental art movement.

In the summer of 2005 artist David Miller painted "Window to Paradise" the first in his, seascape, window series. David Miller's window pieces create a true three-dimensional feel of an actual "window of paradise" on your wall. David creates this facade with warm contrasting colors and his ability to mimic nature's lighting. David furthers this illusion by casting shadows throughout the painting, masterfully drawing us into its center.

David Miller's internationally celebrated art work has graced the covers of everything from greeting cards to jigsaw puzzles, but David's Millers best work has always been done on lexan and canvas. His use of acrylics have earned him acclaim from art critics as well as environmentalists. David's personal pursuit has always been that of environmental preservation. His portfolio includes commissioned works for such prestigious foundations as Sea Turtles of the World, an environmental group protecting endangered sea turtles, and The Franklin Mint, part of the proceeds from the porcelain heirloom collectors plates goes to the Save The Dolphin program. His work is also shown in many prestigious Aquariums across the nation.

David Miller is also influential to famous artists in other genres. David's seascape painting "Crimson Tide" was an inspiration for Author Stephen King's latest novel "Duma Key" about an artist living in Florida trying to paint the perfect seascape. Mr. King asked David to create a new original painting of similar light and color to add to his own personal collection.
